This month Terry writes 4 x "Pirate Tales" for A & C Black

Terry will be writing scripts for a new BBC History Project on "The Normans"

Terry will be writing a football short story for publication later this year. See this diary for details in September

Race launch

Terry has launched the Beamish Tram Challenge fun-run and 10k races at Beamish Museum. He did press and television interviews on 11 March 10 to get publicity for the charity runs. He even dressed up in Victorian running gear for the phot-shoots! terry will also be running the races which take place on 27 June 10.

Entry fees from the two races will be used to enable disadvantaged children from the region visit Beamish, while sponsorship money raised by competitors will go towards the building of the new hospice for children.

The 2010 Beamish Tram Challenge is supported by Stagecoach, Beamish Wild, Start Fitness and Northumbrian Water and is organised in conjunction with Derwentside Athletics Club.

Terry will present the BBC Television Production "The Battle of Towton" as part of the BBC's "History of the World" series. Initially it will be shown in BBC Yorkshire region and probably get a national broadcast on BBC4. Filming was completed in February 2010 and through the most bitter cold weather for 25 years. here is Terry with historical mexpert helen Cox, shivering at Sandal Castle near Wakefield.

The annual Beamish Tram Challenge looks as if it will happen on Sunday 27 June 2010. This annual event sees runners race to beat a tram at Beamish North of England Open Air Museum. There are two races, a 1.5 mile fun run (one lap against the tram) and the 10k multi-terrain race which has one lap against the tram then goes off on a scenic route around the museum. Watch this space ... again!

You can still see Horrible Histories Trenches Exhibition at Imperial War Museum London. The "Trenches Handbook" is brought to life with the clothes, the food, the smells and the weapons from the First World War. There is a shop where you can find all the souvenirs you could ever want from a fabulous day out.

This month Terry will be filming Horrible Histories for CBBC Television. This will be the third series of the popular television sketch show for young viewers.

Terry's new full-length novel Put out ther Light will be published by A & C Black. Terry will be taking part in a signing tour to launch the book. Dates and places where you can meet him to have your copy signed will be announced here.
